so i have some news. i've taken on a new hobby - that is, a new part time job. i am working at restoration hardware, one shift a week. now people, please don't get all worried! it's not because i've fallen on hard times, even though the banking industry has eaten up my 401k and i won't be able to retire until i'm 93 and half years old and i'll never be able to buy a house. but i love resto and i love their products and a friend, who works there one night a week as well, told me i should apply.the past two evenings, i've been in new employee training. the first night was the company's history, policies and procedures, etc. tonight is more procedural stuff like working the cash register, how to do returns, etc. but last night was heaven. product information. i got to spend three hours visiting all the products in the store, floating from the floor lamps to the cambridge bathroom sets, and then flitting from the 464 thread count sateen italian sheets to the thai silk draperies. i think i spent roughly $47,253 in MY HEAD!
so i'll get the fantastic employee discount, get paid (a widow's mite) to fold towels with proud corners, and pretend how i would decorate/paint/light my fantasy house (found in the movie something's gotta give). so if you want to stop by sometime to chat and need help in finding that perfect limited edition coffee table clue game for $175 or a new broken in sofa (preferrably the lancaster) for $3500, just stop on by.

Oh, I love that store. I am with you on dreaming of a house all furnished with Restoration Hardware. If not the whole house, then at least a room. A girl can dream right!
I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
